About Our Family

Both myself — Cris - and my wife — Sandra - were born in Bucharest (Bucuresti), Romania.

Having grown up over there and having always been exposed to European foods from many nationalities, we are naturally lovers of all types of European foods.

Furthermore, I spent an extensive period of time in Austria, and Sandra in Italy and Montreal, Canada. These experiences further expanded our exposure to European foods as well as cultures.

Our son Tristan, although born here in Connecticut and still very young, has already grown to love European foods as well.

On January 26 of 2007 we had the brilliant idea of opening a European food store in our community. On January 28, the decision was final—we decided to go forward.

On July 3rd we opened our doors.
